Sweden attracts visitors all year round, not just for its diverse landscapes, but also for its stark contrasts in seasons. In the wintertime, the far northern region of Lapland is known for its limited daylight which, coupled with it location above the Arctic Circle, makes it one of the best places on earth to see the kaleidoscopic northern lights. Sweden more than makes up for this lack of daylight during the summer time, when the midnight sun creates white nights between May and August.
On the other hand, the buzz of Sweden’s cities is equally alluring to travellers. The capital, Stockholm, is well known for its rich cultural heritage and diverse neighbourhoods sprawled across 14 islands as well as its cutting-edge designs and innovative cuisine, art and music. Sweden’s second largest city, Gothenburg, also has plenty to offer visitors with its vibrant entertainment scene and easy access to parks and nature.
