Where to rest your head | All Things to do
Singita’s new camp rests on the Kenya-Tanzania border with just 6 luxurious tented suites at the site of the Great Migration crossing. Plains game such as zebra, lion, leopard, buffalo and elephant are spotted all year in the rocky kopjes and riverine forest.
The six bohemian-chic luxury tents are designed using solar power and recycled and natural materials, minimally impacting the surroundings. Each tent has an en suite bathroom with shower, as well as a private open-air tub overlooking the river. There’s a communal lounge, dining area, bar and splash pool with sundeck, bringing resort-style comforts to this untouched wilderness.
The chic furnishings include comfortable sofas and beds, retro travel chests and contemporary African art. In-room amenities include full bathroom with shower, hot water and private outdoor tub; solar-powered fan and hair-dryer; chilled weekender bags with beverages; and wooden decks for nature viewing. The attentive staff oversee all aspects of your stay, including daily game drives with expert guides and gourmet meals. At camp, there’s a covered lounge, dining area and bar, where WiFi service is available. Guests also enjoy a screened splash pool and sundeck with uninterrupted views.
Enjoy made-to-order breakfasts, lunches and dinners prepared by chefs skilled in the fine art of cooking in remote locations. Due to the hot climate, the offerings are light, refreshing and healthy, including crisp salads and dishes made using organic ingredients.
